fatted and happy




oh brined thanksgiving turkey malurkey! how do i love thee? let me count the ways:

  1. thy white meat dragged through pools of cranberry sauce and eaten with fingers
  2. thy leftover scraps piled onto toasted wheat with mayo and black pepper
  3. thy carcass the base of our post-thanksgiving jook
  4. thy tail, cold and congealed and salty and delicious, excavated from the scrap pile at midnight and devoured in secret
  5. other flesh of thine, mixed with stuffing and doused in gravy from thy bones, reheated for the next two days and eaten with flourish


we just started our leftover pillaging for the day and it has indeed been a most pleasurable exercise.
