one wonders if bush is using his reputation for idiocy as part of a rather clever strategy for getting what he wants:

on one (more dominant) hand, i really applaud merkel for her efforts in getting shit done and pushing the richest 8 countries to make a difference. on the other (and more cynical) hand, you gotta know that bush isn't going to sign on to the G-8 initiative because he's got big 'n dirty industries behind him. i mean, jesus, he comes from an oil company family. you think his cronies aren't pressuring him?
anyway, give a read and be aware of what bush is doing to sabotage the progress of the next G-8 meeting next week.
